Kuala Lumpur, 14 January 2022 – The inaugural Astro Ulagam Awards celebrated various local talents and productions on 13 January 2022, 9pm at Putrajaya International Convention Centre. The award ceremony was also aired live on Astro Vinmeen HD (Ch 202) and Astro GO.
In addition to the 20 awards from the ‘Popular’ and ‘Best’ award categories, the Ulagam Awards paid tribute to two veteran local actors late Mr. Thangamani Velayudan and late Mr. Gunaseharan Ramasamy (Gunseh) with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Awards’ for their contributions to the local entertainment industry.
