Keerthy Suresh is one of South India's talented and busiest heroines, acting in a variety of regional languages. She recently co-starred in the Malayalam film 'Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea' with Mohanlal.

The epic war drama is the most expensive Malayalam film ever filmed, costing almost Rs 100 crore (RM55 million). The film is based on the fourth Kunjali Marakkar, the admiral of the Zamorin fleet, and is set in 16th century Calicut.

'Marakkar' has evoked mixed reactions, with many Keralites resorting to social media to voice their concerns about the film. In one of the videos, an anonymous person made derogatory remarks about Keerthy Suresh for essaying the role of Aarcha in the film. Mohanlal, her co-star and the president of Kerala's Actors' Union, was alerted of the viral video.

Mohan Lal is believed to have sent the video to Keerthy's father, Suresh Kumar, who filed a complaint with the Trivandrum DGP office, and the offender is expected to be captured soon.
