Actress Shakeela was the dream glam girl of the 1990s. She debuted at the age of 16, before becoming an iconic actress with over 250 films.

She took a break from the film industry due to a lack of offers. After many years, Shakeela gave an interview talking about Bigg Boss to Vanitha Vijayakumar. Following the release of the video, her bold and transparent personality was well-received among netizens.

Now, the actress is participating in Season 2 of 'Cooku with Comali' premiering on Vijay TV. In a recent interview, the actress shared interesting details about her career in the film industry.

When asked about body shaming, Shakeela revealed that at the peak of her career in the 2000s, she weighed about 117kg.

"Beyond being a woman or man, I was a superstar in the Malayalam industry back then and was very heavy. Where was the body shaming? I didn't even care if anyone spoke about me. Because people came to see me in this body, or else how would I be a star there," she questioned.

The actress has now lost weight to become healthier but still stands by her statement.

"There are people out there who like chubby women but might not be ready to admit it. So, don't care about your weight and eat what you like. But it's very important to stay healthy," she said.
