We have an awesome news for aspiring Malaysian filmmakers who are looking for a platform to exhibit their cinematic skills! Astro Ulagam, in collaboration with Astro Vaanavil, is presenting the 'Ulagam Short Film Contest 2022'. This short film contest work as a gateway for young and aspiring filmmakers to showcase their hidden talents to the world.

The contest is open to all Malaysian directors and the short films should be in conjunction with the stipulated theme - “Deepavali 2022”.

If you are an aspiring filmmaker who's waiting for your big break, submit your entries between June 13, 2022 and July 31, 2022, and stand a chance to win an amazing cash prize and a chance to produce a telemovie for Astro Vaanavil in 2023! The winning entries will receive the prizes as per below:
