Actor Ajith began shooting his 61st film as soon as Valimai was released this year. This project is Ajith's third collaboration with H Vinoth as a director; however, the filmmaker claims this film is different from the previous ones.

The film's shoot is happening on a set in Hyderabad, and sources claim that over 30 percent of the film's filming has been completed. After a short break, Ajith will reportedly start filming on May 25th, which marks the beginning of the film's lengthy production schedule.

Mahanadhi Shankar, a veteran character artist, is said to be reuniting with Ajith after two decades. He has been cast in a supporting role in the film, which would be his second collaboration with Ajith after 'Dheena.' It took Shankar 20 years to work with Ajith again!

Shankar is well-known for his performances as a stuntman and gangster in several films, and he also had a significant role in Ajith's 'Dheena.' Also, he is the one who called Ajith as 'Thala' on big screens before the term became the actor's identity.
However, in December 2021, the actor has penned a letter to his fans, the public and the media, humbly requesting everyone to refer to him as Ajith, Ajith Kumar or AK and not as "Thala". This note was released to the public via his manager's official social media account.
