Actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan recently delivered an emotional and heartfelt message, reflecting on his purpose in the film industry and his responsibility towards its future. Speaking at the pre-release event of Thaai Kizhavi, presented by Radikaa Sarathkumar, he emphasised that his journey in cinema has never been about competition, but about creating meaningful impact.
He shared that like everyone else; he entered life with dreams of contributing positively to society. Having been blessed with opportunities, recognition, and success that many aspire to, he believes it is his duty to make his life meaningful. He expressed that the name, fame, and financial success he has received were not meant for personal gain alone, but to be utilised in ways that benefit others and give back to the industry that shaped him.
Sivakarthikeyan further clarified that he has no intention of competing with, criticising, or undermining anyone in the industry. Instead, he hopes to use his position to support and uplift emerging filmmakers and actors. He noted that collaborating with newcomers allows him to learn and grow, and added that he consciously chooses original scripts, taking full responsibility for both his successes and failures. He also acknowledged his personal shortcomings and his continuous effort to evolve positively, particularly through the projects he produces.
While expressing gratitude for the unwavering support from audiences, he candidly mentioned that he continues to face challenges within the industry. Nevertheless, he remains determined to overcome these obstacles and is committed to creating opportunities for new talents, just as he was once given an opportunity.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in a film directed by Sudha Kongara. He currently has several upcoming projects, including a sci-fi action film with Venkat Prabhu, Seyon directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, and another venture with director Cibi Chakravarthi.
