For years, Kollywood actresses had a short career span compared to their male counterparts. Before the era of actresses like Nayanthara, Trisha, and Samantha, actresses typically retired from films after marriage.

Subramaniapuram fame Swati Reddy was one of the rising actresses of Tamil cinema and gave notable performances in films like Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Vadacurry.

In 2018, she tied the knot with her boyfriend, a pilot named Vikas Vasu. After her marriage, she stopped acting in films. But, surprisingly the actress is now making a comeback in a Telugu anthology film Panchathantram.

Back in April, Swathi revealed that the film happened out of the blue.

“I don’t want to say it is a comeback. I am doing the film because I liked the script when the director Harsha Pulipaka narrated it,” she said.

In July 2020, Swathi pulled out of social media after finding it too noisy.

"I thought social media was not the right place to be at that point in time. I am just an actor with a blue tick. Balancing an online life and real life was getting surreal," she explained.
