The easiest option: Free Rapid KL shuttle buses

For many spectators, the free shuttle bus service could be the most convenient option. Rapid KL will operate 95 free shuttle buses during the race weekend, running from 7am to midnight from 2 to 4 October.

Buses are expected to operate every 10 to 15 minutes.

• De-Village, Persiaran Millenia 2, Bandar Baru Enstek

Travelling by KLIA Ekspres

• Around 50–70 minutes one way
• Travel from KL Sentral to KLIA Terminal 2
• Continue from KLIA Terminal 2 using the free Rapid KL shuttle bus to the circuit

Looking for a cheaper public transport option?

There are several alternatives if you want to keep your travel costs lower.

Airport bus from KL Sentral

• Approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes
• Take the airport bus to KLIA Terminal 2
• Continue by the free Rapid KL shuttle bus to Sepang International Circuit

MRT + KLIA Transit

• Around RM13–RM20 one way
• Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes
• Take the MRT Putrajaya Line to Putrajaya Sentral
• Change to KLIA Transit to KLIA Terminal 2

• Around RM40–RM60 one way
• Approximately 50–90 minutes
• Take KLIA Transit from KL Sentral to Salak Tinggi
• Continue by Grab or taxi directly to the circuit

Driving all the way to Sepang may seem like the easiest option, but parking arrangements during the race weekend may be different from what regular visitors are used to.

Instead of heading straight to the circuit, one option is to park at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA and continue by the free shuttle bus.

Drive and park at Mitsui Outlet Park

• Parking around RM2 per hour
• Approximately RM16–RM24 for 8–12 hours
• Take the free Rapid KL shuttle bus from the designated pickup point to the circuit

This could be a practical option for families or groups travelling together by car.

Another option is the KLIA Long-Term Car Park

• Around RM32–RM40 per day
• Park at the outdoor KLIA Long-Term Car Park
• Continue to the circuit using the free Rapid KL shuttle bus

What about motorcycles?

Motorcyclists should take note: according to the information provided, motorcycle parking will not be available at Sepang International Circuit for this year's race.

One alternative is to ride to Mitsui Outlet Park, park your motorcycle there and continue to the circuit using the free shuttle bus.

• Motorcycle parking at Mitsui Outlet Park: Free
• Only fuel costs need to be considered
• Continue to Sepang International Circuit using the free Rapid KL shuttle

This could be a less stressful option than trying to find motorcycle parking near the circuit. If you're only attending on Sunday, plan your journey carefully.

• Bahrain Grand Prix: 3pm–5pm

The race is scheduled for 56 laps or a maximum of two hours.

So, if you're heading to the circuit on Sunday, don't wait until the afternoon to start your journey. Give yourself plenty of time for traffic, transfers and the walk into the circuit.
