Malaysians aged 18 to 30 can now enjoy three months of free access to ILMUchat Pro through the AI Untuk Rakyat programme, giving eligible youths an opportunity to explore and learn how to use AI tools.
The initiative is offered to eligible participants who complete the designated AI learning modules on the Rakyat Digital platform. The ILMUchat Pro subscription, which was announced at RM50 per month, makes the three-month offer worth RM150.
The redemption period begins on 31 August 2026, in conjunction with the National Day celebrations, with the offer targeted at up to 100,000 eligible Malaysians.
Who can apply?
- Malaysian citizens aged between 18 and 30 years old
- Must register on the Rakyat Digital platform
- Must complete the designated AI learning module
- Must have a MyDigital ID account to verify eligibility and activate the subscription
How to redeem the free 3-month subscription?
1. Log in to the Rakyat Digital platform.
2. Register or access your account and complete the required AI learning module.
3. Once you have completed the module, go to your Rakyat Digital dashboard.
4. Select the ILMUchat Pro offer.
5. You will then be directed to the ILMUchat platform.
6. Log in using your MyDigital ID to verify your eligibility.
7. Once your eligibility has been confirmed, activate your free three-month ILMUchat Pro subscription.
8. Eligible users can then enjoy unlimited access to ILMUchat Pro during the three-month promotional period.

What is ILMUchat?
ILMUchat is an AI chatbot developed by YTL AI Labs with a focus on Malaysian language and local context. It supports Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese and Manglish, allowing users to switch between languages naturally.
The platform can assist users with tasks such as:
- Writing emails and letters
- Creating posters and graphics
- Preparing presentation slides
- Programming and developing simple applications or games
- Finding information related to PTPTN
- Exploring SME grant applications
- Assisting with job applications
Why is this initiative being introduced?
The AI Untuk Rakyat programme is aimed at giving Malaysians greater access to AI education and tools. The initiative is led by the Ministry of Digital in collaboration with YTL AI Labs and MyDIGITAL Corporation.
YTL AI Labs CEO Foong Chee Mun said the initiative is intended not only to help young Malaysians use AI, but also encourage them to become contributors and builders who can play a role in shaping Malaysia’s AI future.
The offer provides eligible Malaysian youths with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an AI platform while developing digital skills that could be useful for education, work and everyday tasks.
