MITRA 2026 Dialysis Subsidy Assistance Programme Applications Are Now Open

MITRA Dialysis

Good news for eligible Malaysians undergoing dialysis treatment. Applications for the MITRA 2026 Dialysis Subsidy Assistance Programme (Arogya MADANI) are now open, offering financial support to eligible patients receiving haemodialysis treatment.

The programme aims to help reduce the financial burden of dialysis treatment, particularly for individuals from low- and middle-income households.

Applications are accepted on a first come, first served (FCFS) basis, with assistance limited to 1,300 successful applicants who meet all eligibility requirements.

Application period

Applications opened on 5 June 2026 at 2.00pm and will close on 4 August 2026 at 2.00pm.

As places are limited, eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

Who is eligible?

To qualify for the MITRA 2026 Dialysis Subsidy Assistance Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Malaysian citizen of Indian descent.
  • Must be receiving haemodialysis treatment at a dialysis centre recognised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
  • Must belong to the B40 or M40 income group, with priority given to applicants from the B40 category.
  • Priority will also be given to patients who are not receiving dialysis assistance from other organisations.
  • Patients receiving partial dialysis assistance may still apply to cover treatment costs not funded by other parties.
  • Must have an active bank account in the patient's name for financial aid disbursement.
  • Must complete Form A (MITRA 2026 Dialysis Subsidy Assistance Programme Confirmation Form), certified by both the attending medical officer and the dialysis centre.
  • The programme is only open to patients undergoing haemodialysis treatment. Those receiving peritoneal dialysis or who have undergone kidney transplants are not eligible.

For patients who are unable to open a bank account due to special circumstances, assistance may be paid into a beneficiary's account, subject to supporting certification from the patient.

How to apply?

Eligible applicants can submit their application online through the official MITRA application FORM.

Applicants are also encouraged to carefully read the MITRA 2026 Dialysis Subsidy Assistance Programme Guidelines before completing their application to ensure all requirements are met.

As only 1,300 applicants will be selected under the first come, first served system, those who meet the eligibility criteria are advised not to delay their application.
