Nurfisya : Police Confirm 61 Stab Wounds , Deny Viral Claims of 105

Police have confirmed that the victim in the murder case involving Nurfisya Zulkifly sustained 61 stab wounds, based on autopsy findings, dismissing earlier claims circulating on social media that alleged 105 wounds.

Kota Bharu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azmir Damiri, clarified that the number refers specifically to stab wounds and does not include other injuries such as scratches found on the victim’s body.

“The actual number based on the autopsy results is 61 stab wounds only, not including scratch wounds,” he said when addressing reporters.

The police have urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, warning that speculation could interfere with ongoing investigations. The motive behind the murder has yet to be determined, with investigations continuing from multiple angles.

So far, four individuals have been arrested, including two 19-year-old males and an elderly couple aged 60 and 66.

“All suspects are currently under investigation, and we are examining the case thoroughly,” he added.

Victim believed to have been killed elsewhere as the body of the 19-year-old student was discovered at approximately 12.22am on May 1 by members of the public along a road in a paddy field area in Ketereh.

Initial investigations suggest that the victim may have been killed at a different location before the body was abandoned at the scene. The victim was later identified as a third-semester student at Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM).

Authorities revealed that the victim was last seen at a condominium near the Kelantan River in Kota Bharu on May 1 at approximately 12.26pm. She was believed to have travelled in a black Honda City before heading to a restaurant in the city.

The victim later returned to the condominium around 1.00pm and was seen leaving again at approximately 8.00pm. She was reported to have entered a white Perodua Bezza with an unidentified man and made payment in cash.

At 11.34pm, the victim uploaded a WhatsApp status before her body was discovered later that night.

The brutal nature of the crime has shocked the public and raised concerns over increasing violence, particularly involving individuals of a similar age group.
