After weeks of preparation and anticipation, Pasanga Run ’25 finally kicked off this morning and it exceeded all expectations. Originally capped at 150 participants, the event saw an impressive turnout of nearly 200 runners, proving just how much excitement the Pasanga series continues to generate.
The run officially began at 7.45am at Taman Metropolitan Park, but the enthusiasm started much earlier. According to director Dr. Vimala Perumal, one eager participant arrived as early as 5.50am hoping to secure a walk-in registration spot, this kind of love to the overwhelming support for the event.

Speaking about the motivation behind organising the run, Denes Kumar shared that Pasanga, being a family-oriented series, inspired the idea of bringing people of all ages together.
“We wanted families to run together, to share a healthy and meaningful activity with the Pasanga cast. It’s a great way to stay active, spend time with loved ones, and be part of something special before the big TV premiere,” he said.
On what to expect from Pasanga Season 3, Denes hinted that the excitement doesn’t end with the marathon.
“If people are thrilled for this run, the new season will take that excitement even further. It’s packed with unexpected twists,” he added raising anticipation for the upcoming premiere.

Men’s Category:
1st Place: Prakash - 14 minutes 14 seconds
2nd Place: Guruvarshern - 14 minutes 20 seconds
Both winners shared that although they have joined many marathons before, this route stood out for its challenging uphill and downhill segments. The terrain pushed them physically, making their win even more meaningful.
Women’s Category:
1st Place: Somiya
2nd Place: Sre Grethika
Both runners expressed that the unique track layout made the experience both challenging and rewarding.
