Good news for eligible Selangor residents! Low-income households and vulnerable families can now receive RM100 in monthly financial assistance for six consecutive months under the state's latest Kita Selangor Voucher initiative.
Introduced as part of the RM140 million Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package Phase 1, the programme aims to ease the burden of rising living costs, global economic uncertainty and supply chain disruptions.
A total of 50,000 households across Selangor are expected to benefit from the initiative.
Who is eligible?
Recipients will be identified using existing government databases to ensure the assistance reaches those who need it most.
The state government will use information from:
- Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (BINGKAS)
- The Federal Government's Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU)
According to Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, recipient verification began on June 22 and 23 before eligible applicants were notified via SMS.
Eligible recipients will receive:
- RM100 every month
- Assistance for six consecutive months
- A total of RM600 per household
When will payments begin?
- The first phase of payments began on June 30, 2026.
Recipients will continue receiving RM100 each month until November 2026, subject to eligibility and successful verification.
Eligible recipients will receive SMS notifications in stages containing instructions to verify their information before completing the application process online.
How to apply?
Once you receive the SMS notification, you can verify your details and complete your application through the official Kita Selangor Voucher portal.
Applicants will also be required to upload the necessary supporting documents to complete the verification process.
Applications for single mothers now open
- The Selangor government has also opened new online applications specifically for single mothers beginning June 23, 2026.
- Those under Category A can also check their pre-registration status through the Kita Selangor Voucher portal before submitting a new application.
Applications will remain open until December 31, 2026, giving eligible applicants ample time to submit the required documents.
Where can the vouchers be used?
The Kita Selangor Voucher can only be redeemed at participating merchants registered under the programme. Before making any purchases, recipients are encouraged to check the official list of participating STORES through the Kita Selangor Voucher portal to ensure the outlet accepts the voucher.
