Sepang Invites Volunteers to Be Part of Malaysia's Formula 1 Return

Formula 1 is set to make its long-awaited return to Malaysia, and motorsport enthusiasts now have a rare opportunity to experience the action from behind the scenes.

Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has officially opened volunteer registrations for the 2026 Malaysian Grand Prix, which will take place from 2 to 4 October. The event marks Formula 1's return to Sepang after several years, making it one of the most anticipated sporting events on Malaysia's calendar.

Volunteers will have the chance to support various aspects of race operations, working alongside event organisers while experiencing the excitement of a Formula 1 weekend up close. Depending on the role assigned, volunteers may assist with event logistics, guest services, accreditation, crowd management and other operational duties throughout the race weekend.

Applications can be submitted through the official SIC website. Interested applicants will be required to provide their personal information, residential address and any previous volunteer experience at the circuit.

Duty schedules will vary based on the assigned role and operational requirements. Although volunteers will receive a daily allowance and meals during the event, many see the programme as an opportunity to gain valuable experience, meet fellow motorsport enthusiasts and witness one of the world's biggest sporting events from a unique perspective.
