STR 2026 Rejected? You Still Have Time To Appeal For Phase 3 Before 15 June

STR Phase 3

Malaysians whose Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) 2026 applications were marked as "Not Eligible" still have an opportunity to appeal or submit a new application before the Phase 3 deadline on 15 June 2026.

While receiving a rejection can be disappointing, many applicants have successfully received STR assistance after appealing and providing updated information or supporting documents.

Why was your STR application rejected?

Before submitting an appeal, it is important to understand the possible reasons behind the rejection.

Among the most common reasons are:

  • Income exceeding the eligibility threshold based on LHDN records
  • Incomplete or outdated personal information, such as marital status, number of dependents, or address
  • Mismatched information between STR and LHDN databases
  • Issues involving registered bank accounts

In some cases, applicants may still qualify if the information on record does not accurately reflect their current circumstances.

How to submit an STR appeal?

Step 1: Log in to the MySTR Portal

Visit mystr.hasil.gov.my and log in using your IC number and password.

Step 2: Check Your Application Status

If your status displays "Not Eligible", you may proceed by selecting the appeal option available on the portal.

Step 3: Complete The Appeal Form

Clearly explain why you believe you are eligible. For example:

  • Income has decreased
  • Family circumstances have changed
  • Personal information requires correction

Step 4: Upload Supporting Documents

Relevant documents may include:

  • Latest payslips
  • Employer verification letter
  • Marriage or divorce certificate
  • Bank statements
  • Latest e-Filing records

Step 5: Submit And Monitor The Status

Once submitted, applicants can monitor their appeal status through the MySTR portal. Appeals typically take between two and four weeks to be processed, depending on application volume.

Documents You Should Prepare

  • Payslips for the latest three months
  • Employer confirmation letter
  • Marriage or divorce certificates (if applicable)
  • Recent bank statements
  • Latest income tax filing records

Before submitting your appeal:

  • Ensure all personal information is up to date
  • Upload clear and complete supporting documents
  • Avoid submitting multiple appeals for the same application

Applicants who experience delays beyond the expected processing period may contact the LHDN hotline at 03-8911 1000 or visit the nearest LHDN branch for assistance.

The deadline to submit a new STR application or appeal for Phase 3 is 15 June 2026.

Eligible Malaysians who have yet to apply or whose applications were previously rejected are encouraged to act before the deadline to avoid missing out on financial assistance under STR 2026.
