In a world full of possibilities, our abilities shine brighter than any disability. A Malaysian woman has captured hearts and gained fame for her remarkable achievement of operating a burger stall despite her disability.
Jaheerah Nadzri, known as Eerah has recently went viral for her culinary skills and inspiring story. Featured in a video by Malaysian food guide KL Foodie, Eerah showcased her proficiency in crafting her signature 'Burger Kahwin Special,' a delectable dish which has become a favourite among night owls.
After tasting Eerah’s “Burger Special”, Nurul Izzah Anwar was so impressed that she ordered another 200 burgers, not for herself, but to share with children and residents at a nearby orphanage and welfare home.
Eerah’s father and brothers helped prepare the burgers, which were then delivered to Baitus Sakinah Hidayah Orphanage and Baitul Barokah Wal Mahabbah Welfare Organisation.
Nurul Izzah also made sure the recipients knew that the burgers were lovingly prepared by Eerah herself.
“They were so touched and enjoyed the burgers,” she shared.
Beyond the burgers, it was Eerah’s determination that left an even deeper impression. Despite living with a disability, she continues to work hard, earn an honest living and remind others that their circumstances should never stop them from chasing their dreams.
Eerah, the only daughter among four siblings, often shares glimpses of her everyday life on social media, showing that she is determined to live life on her own terms.
Eerah's stall, aptly named Eerah Burger, is located in Sepang, Selangor. The video not only highlighted her culinary talents but also her upbeat demeanour and independence, earning her widespread admiration.
Working alongside her father, Eerah operates the stall daily from 6 pm to 12 am, with Saturdays as their day off. Her father explained that Eerah has never been employed due to a lack of qualifications, coupled with her physical condition, which necessitates support from those around her.
