Actress Jyotika's journey in K-town began with the cult favourite Vaali, starring Ajith and Simran. Directed by SJ Suryah, Jyotika bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for essaying the role of Ajith's imaginary love interest.

Following her successful debut in Tamil films, Jyotika continued to act throughout the 2000s and made a big impact with her role in Rajinikanth's blockbuster hit Chnadramukhi.

At the peak of her career, she tied the knot with actor Suriya and is now blessed with a daughter Diya and son Dev. They are one of the most celebrated couples of K-town.

Jyotika managed to carve a name for her in the Tamil cinema industry, especially when she made a comeback in the film ‘36 Vayadhinile’ after getting married. She is not showing signs of stopping acting any time soon and she's only taking up meatier roles in female-centric films.

Just a day before, Jyotika made an entry into the world of Instagram. To everyone's surprise, within a day of signing up on the social platform, the actress managed to gain more than 1 million followers.
