The actress is known for making controversial statements about Kollywood stars and accused the Tamil film industry of discriminating her.
Recently, Meera took part in a talk show on YouTube and allegedly made derogatory comments against the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.
Following the viral video, the Cyber Crime Wing Police booked the actress under seven provisions of IPC and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Meera was summoned for investigation last Thursday, however Sun News reported that the actress has been arrested by the police earlier today.
