Born as Unnimary, actress Deepa worked in the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada industries in the 1980s. She was a classical dancer and performed across India in her mother's ballet dance troupe.

In Kollywood, the actress is well-known for her roles in Johnny, Meendum Kokila, Mundanai Mudichu, Rosaappo Ravikkai Kaari, and Sippikkul Muthu.

Deepa's role as 'Pattu Teacher' in Mundanai Mudichu made her an overnight sensation. After a 20-year acting career, she stopped acting and settled down with her husband Rejoy, a professor whom she married in 1982. They were blessed with a son named Nirmal.

Deepa's latest clicks with her husband and son's family are making rounds on social media. The former actress looks completely different and seems content with her life away from the glam.
