Superstar Rajinikanth is the highest paid Kollywood actor to-date who gets paid around Rs30 to Rs90 crore per movie.

However, there are times where the actor worked on an entire movie for free without taking any payment.

Rajinikanth's 100th film 'Sri Ragavendra' under the production of Kavithalaya became a failure.

To compensate the loses faced by the production house, Rajinikanth worked on the hit movie 'Velaikaran' for the production house for free.
