A heart-warming incident recently went viral after a Malaysian man shared his experience on TikTok, involving an elderly woman at a toll booth on the SUKE Highway. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, described how he encountered the situation while driving through the Touch ‘n Go Lane.

According to the video, the man initially noticed a long queue at the RFID lane and decided to use the adjacent Touch ‘n Go Lane instead. As he approached the booth, an elderly woman waved him down, seeking assistance. She explained that her Touch ‘n Go card had expired and asked if she could pay the toll using her bank card. Unfortunately, that option wasn’t available.

The man observed that there were no toll workers present to assist her, and despite the woman having her IC, she was unable to top up her card. In a gesture of kindness, the man offered his Touch ‘n Go card to help her, while he opted to pay his toll via the RFID lane.

Interestingly, as he passed through the lane, he spotted a toll worker sitting outside the booth, which had not been manned earlier. After both he and the elderly woman successfully cleared the toll, they pulled over to the side, where he retrieved his Touch ‘n Go card from her.

In the TikTok post, he encouraged others to be kind, stating, "Don’t be afraid to help others. When you lend a hand, God will send someone to help you in return."

He also called on toll concession companies to re-evaluate and improve their toll booth systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), highlighting that these issues have persisted for a long time without proper action from either the government or the toll concession companies.
