Here's what happen. During the Q & A seesion, a journalist questiona an unexpected and rather disappointing question to Pradeep, asking:
“You don’t look like hero material. But you seem to have found success and a fan following in movies. Will you attribute it to luck or hard work?”
Before Pradeep could respond, the veteran actor Sarathkumar took the microphone and delivered a powerful response.
Drawing on his vast experience of acting in over 170 films, Sarathkumar said, “You cannot say from A to Z who is hero material. Everybody here is hero material. There are no fixed specifications for a hero. A person doing anything that benefits society is a hero.”
Pradeep, known for his humble and grounded nature, responded gracefully, earning even more admiration from fans for his heartfelt words.
Acknowledging Sarathkumar’s support with gratitude, he said, “Hard work is definitely there. Over the past few months, I’ve been reflecting on the love and support I’ve received. There are many talented people out there like me, I’ve seen it. I think people connect with me because they see a part of themselves in me. When they watch the screen, they feel like they are the hero, they’re the ones acting, fighting, and romancing. And because they see themselves in me, I already become a hero in their eyes.”
The exchange not only highlighted Pradeep’s humility but also reminded many that true heroism lies in authenticity, passion, and connection not appearance or convention.
