The updated scheme, introduced in June 2024, provides FREE inpatient treatment at both private and public hospitals in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. It aims to ease congestion in government hospitals and ensure quicker access to medical care for residents.
Key details of the initiative:
- The new hospitalisation benefit covers nearly all diseases, except 36 critical illnesses listed under the programme’s terms and conditions.
- Eligible members can receive inpatient treatment worth up to RM10,000 annually at 48 panel hospitals : 30 private and 18 public hospitals.
- The benefit was introduced to provide varied treatment options, enhanced comfort during medical care, and reduced waiting times at government hospitals.
- The ISS initiative prioritises the B40 income group but is open to all Selangor residents under 80 years old.
A reference letter is required before registration, obtainable from public hospitals, clinics, or via the Selcare telemedicine service on the Selangkah app.
Once approved, members can immediately access inpatient services at the panel hospitals, except for emergency cases in private hospitals.
