Selangor residents can now benefit from improved healthcare access through the Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS) programme, which offers a new hospitalisation benefit with an annual coverage limit of RM10,000 for inpatient treatment across 48 panel hospitals nationwide.

The updated scheme, introduced in June 2024, provides FREE inpatient treatment at both private and public hospitals in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. It aims to ease congestion in government hospitals and ensure quicker access to medical care for residents.

Key details of the initiative:
A reference letter is required before registration, obtainable from public hospitals, clinics, or via the Selcare telemedicine service on the Selangkah app.

Once approved, members can immediately access inpatient services at the panel hospitals, except for emergency cases in private hospitals.

The initiative covers treatment for various conditions such as asthma, dengue, influenza, bronchiolitis, heart failure, and vertigo.

How to register for ISS:

Selangor’s State Public Health and Environment Executive Councillor, Jamaliah Jamaluddin, said the state government is collaborating with all Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) offices to increase awareness about the hospitalisation benefits and ensure residents can fully utilise them.

Medical professional Dr Malar Santhi Santherasegapan also encouraged residents especially senior citizens to take advantage of ISS, highlighting that it helps reduce overcrowding in government hospitals.
